In 140 congregations abroad connected with the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) as well as in quite a number of partner churches, you will find German-speaking Christians and in almost all countries of the world you will meet fellow Christians no matter which language they speak.

The ecumenical movement is a discovery of the twentieth century. We wish to carry our responsibility and to have a responsible share in this development as well as to help others to experience it. Whether you are our ecumenical- or project-partner, whether you are a member of one of the churches or congregations related with the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD), whether you live – with or without family – for some years in a foreign country or whether you are a tourist: Your church is there, for you! It invites you to join in worship, to take part in church activities and in its social life as well as in discussions regarding other religions and cultures. Together with our member churches and organisations in Germany we maintain multiple relations with churches and ecumenical partners. Wherever the church is asked for and needed, we are there to give our help and assistance.
