Integrating integration – How to shift the integration of migrants from AMIF to ESF+

11 October 2018, 13.00-14.30

EKD Office, Rue Joseph II 166, 1000 Brussels

In the proposals for the next MFF, the medium and long-term integration of migrants is shifted from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) to the future ESF+. Integration is thus no longer a matter of home affairs, but of social policy. At the same time, the funding for the ESF+ is likely to diminish. What does this mean for the future of Cohesion Policy? Which implications go along with this shift, and which lessons from the AMIF can be learned for the ESF+? We want to discuss these questions with representatives from the European Commission, Fund administrators, and practitioners.

Light lunch will be provided from 12.30.
